Lead Product Manager, Identity & Account Security

Location: San Jose

We are partnering with a global technology company serving billions of users worldwide to identify a Lead Product Manager to drive the next generation of account security and identity protection. This role will own strategy and execution for critical authentication, anti-fraud, and abuse prevention capabilities at massive consumer scale.

In this role, you will shape the product vision for how hundreds of millions of users securely authenticate, recover accounts, and stay protected from evolving threats, all while maintaining a seamless user experience. You'll work at the intersection of security, identity, AI/ML, and user trust, collaborating with top engineering and research talent to define the future of safe digital identity.

This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for a product leader who can combine deep security expertise with strong product instincts and thrive in complex, fast-moving environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define the multi-year product vision and roadmap for authentication, account protection, and anti-abuse capabilities at global scale.
  • Lead strategy for next-generation identity systems, including risk-based authentication, account takeover prevention, and access management.
  • Partner with engineering, trust & safety, risk, legal, and compliance teams to deliver secure and privacy-respecting products that meet global regulatory standards.
  • Use data, threat intelligence, and user research to anticipate and neutralize emerging account security threats.
  • Drive end-to-end product execution - from strategy and requirements definition to launch, adoption, and iteration.
  • Represent the account security product strategy to senior leadership, influencing cross-org priorities and investments.

Ideal Candidate Profile
  • 8+ years of product management experience, with significant time spent in identity, authentication, fraud prevention, or account security.
  • Proven track record of shipping large-scale security or identity products in a consumer or enterprise environment.
  • Strong understanding of modern authentication standards (OAuth, OIDC, SAML), risk-based authentication, MFA, and identity federation.
  • Experience balancing user experience and security while aligning with global regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, KYC/AML).
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders in high-stakes security contexts.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, structured problem-solving, and communication skills.
