Qualifications and Responsibilities for Data Architect - DBT and AWS glue:

 

  • Design and implement scalable, cloud-based data architectures on AWS.

  • Develop and maintain data lakes, warehouses, and marts using AWS services.

  • Define data models, schemas, and metadata strategies to support analytics and reporting.

  • Build and manage ETL pipelines using AWS Glue (PySpark/Scala).

  • Optimize Snowflake compute clusters (Warehouses) for cost efficiency.

  • Develop Glue jobs, workflows, and crawlers for data ingestion and transformation.

  • Integrate AWS Glue with S3, Redshift, RDS, Athena, and other AWS services.

  • Design and implement data transformation models in DBT.

  • Create modular, testable, and reusable DBT models for data transformations.
