Job Details
Title: SAP ABAP Consultant
Location: Dallas, TX (Onsite)
Type: Contract
General Duties and Tasks:
- Analyze work requests and coordinate with business analysts to diagnose and estimate maintenance tasks.
- Prepare work orders and collaborate with both technical and non-technical project team members.
- Develop applications of varying complexity, adhering to SAP coding standards and client specifications.
- Participate in all stages of the project lifecycle including design, documentation reviews, coding, code reviews, testing, and UAT support.
- Provide weekly status reports detailing accomplishments, priorities, and the status of each request in tracking tools.
- Monitor and assess the quality of deliverables and ensure performance targets specified by service levels are met.
- Develop SAP components including:
- Reports
- Custom SAP GUI transactions
- Forms
- Interfaces
- Web services
- Workflows
- IDOCs
- Webdynpro Applications
- Support functional areas like SD, LE, MM, IM/WM, PM, PP, FI, and HR.
- Research and apply OSS Notes related to new Enhancement Pack releases.
- Conduct unit testing systematically and document outcomes of each test case.
- Fix bugs identified during unit testing.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and implement changes as recommended by business analysts.
- Plan and execute go-live steps for smooth releases and provide post-production support.
- Follow quality processes to ensure high-quality deliverables, with multiple review phases before client delivery.
- Create documentation using standard templates and follow coding/formatting standards to maintain proper records of enhancements and developments.
