Education: Bachelor s degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
Note: Local candidates only. The candidate must reside in the DMV area.
Requirements:
- 12 years of experience. Business Analyst with proven professional expertise in capturing, verifying, and managing requirements and requirements traceability in support of product development, testing, and delivery.
- This position is housed under the Application Software Development (ASD) Division of the client, providing direct support for application stabilization, enhancements, operations, maintenance redesign, and other related projects.
Mandatory Skills:
- 12 yrs. Business Analyst experience, Software Development Lifecycle, requirements gathering, and documentation
- 12 yrs. MS Office/PowerPoint experience
- Experience in requirements identification, use case and scenario capture, and development of visual tools, analytical tables, and presentations.
- Must have hands-on experience with business process analysis, redesign, workflows, and complex logic.
- Prior experience in a business analyst role for web-based case management, user portal, or data capture application for a Public Sector Department.
- Strong analytical skills, time management ability, detail-oriented, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven experience in experience in a Business Analyst/ Business Data Analyst role
- Proven experience in Agile and SCRUM SDLC methodologies
- Proven experience in superior writing, communication, presentation skills, interpersonal skills, and working cross-functionally with senior management
- Experience with modeling tools such as Visio and requirements management tools such as Contour or Jira is a plus
- Have the ability to work well in a team collaborating with developers, customers, project managers and quality test analysts.
Additional Requirement:
- Prior experience working on public-sector clients or projects is a plus.
