Description
We are looking for a skilled Desktop Support Analyst to join our team in Brooklyn, New York. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will play a vital role in delivering technical assistance to faculty, staff, students, and guests, ensuring smooth operation of desktop computers, peripherals, and multimedia tools. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and ready to work flexible hours to meet the evolving needs of our organization.
Responsibilities:
Provide prompt and courteous technical support to users by addressing work tickets from the service desk queue.
Maintain accurate documentation of user issues, resolutions, and events within the support ticketing system.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop computers, peripherals, and multimedia equipment.
Support the integration and operation of instructional technology tools for classrooms and learning environments.
Assist with the deployment and management of software using tools such as Microsoft SCCM and Jamf Pro.
Ensure the functionality and security of devices running on Mac OS X, Windows, Android, and iOS platforms.
Collaborate with team members to deliver timely solutions for hardware and software problems.
Monitor and manage inventory of IT equipment to ensure availability and proper functionality.
Communicate effectively with users to understand their needs and provide tailored technical solutions.
Requirements
Proficiency in PC desktop and workstation support.
Experience with Mac OS X and mobile operating systems such as Android and iOS.
Familiarity with software deployment tools like Microsoft SCCM and Jamf Pro.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications and troubleshooting.
Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate organizational needs.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse user groups.
Previous experience in a help desk or technical support role is preferred.
