Job Title: Thoughtspot Developer / SME

Location: Remote - EST/CST time zones preferred.

Candidate is local to Peoria, IL, preferred.

Duration: Long Term

Job Description:

As a Thoughtspot Developer / SME, you will play a crucial role in modernizing our major reporting tools. You will be responsible for developing and optimizing data models, building worksheets and live boards in Thoughtspot, and training our existing team on Thoughtspot functionalities. Your efforts will directly impact our business operations, particularly in reporting on machine sales, orders, inventory, and forecasting, which are essential for running our machine business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize Thoughtspot solutions to meet business needs.
  • Build and maintain data views and ETL processes.
  • Utilize Snowflake for data modeling and ensure efficient data management.
  • Create worksheets and live boards in Thoughtspot to facilitate better data visualization and decision-making.
  • Train and mentor the existing team on Thoughtspot functionalities and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting for Thoughtspot-related issues.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all reporting and analysis activities.
  • Assist in the modernization of reporting tools and processes.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in Thoughtspot development or as a Thoughtspot SME.
  • Strong knowledge of data ETL processes and experience building data views.
  • 1-2 years of experience in Snowflake data modeling.
  • Familiarity with Cognos is a plus.
  • Experience in building hops and live boards in Thoughtspot.
  • Ability to train and mentor team members on Thoughtspot.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
