About the Role
As a Senior ElectroMechanical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in developing the next-generation robotic platform that will transform the future of healthcare. You'll lead the design and development of complex electro-mechanical assemblies and fixtures, contributing from early prototyping through verification in a regulated medical device environment.

About the Role
As a Senior ElectroMechanical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in developing the next-generation robotic platform that will transform the future of healthcare. You'll lead the design and development of complex electro-mechanical assemblies and fixtures, contributing from early prototyping through verification in a regulated medical device environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design of complex DV (Design Verification) fixtures from requirements gathering through concept, detailed design, reviews, and release.
- Support product-level design activities as needed.
- Identify and implement improvements in the DV fixture lineup.
- Collaborate on firmware and software requirements for fixtures.
- Author technical documentation related to fixture design and DV testing.
- Conduct fixture qualifications and process validations.
- Maintain rigorous test protocols, configuration control, and documentation standards.
- Drive cross-functional technical and process improvement initiatives.
- Manage vendor communications and resolve procurement issues.
- Coordinate and communicate project progress with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Robotics Engineering (or related field).
- 8+ years of experience in R&D for complex electromechanical systems.
- Hands-on experience in design, assembly, and testing of electro-mechanical systems.
- Experience in regulated industries (e.g., medical devices, aerospace).
- Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks preferred).
- Strong understanding of DFM/A, Six Sigma, and statistical tolerance analysis.
- Familiarity with ASME drafting standards, including GD&T (Y14.5-2018).
- Experience with PLM systems and engineering change orders (ECOs).
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Experience with ASME V&V 40 standards.
- Background in design transfer and new product introduction (NPI).
- Experience with MATLAB Simulink or LabVIEW.
- Skilled in statistical tools (e.g., Minitab).
- Experience in fixture and process validation.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Demonstrated project management skills, including task estimation and work breakdown structures.
- Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional collaboration.
