Harness CI/CD Implementation Consultant || Remote ||

Project Objective

Design, implement, and configure Harness CI/CD pipelines to enable secure, compliant, and efficient software delivery for our fintech applications while meeting regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Implementation & Configuration

• Assess current CI/CD infrastructure and design Harness implementation strategy
• Install, configure, and integrate Harness platform with existing tools and infrastructure
• Design and build CI/CD pipelines for multiple applications and environments
• Configure deployment strategies including canary, blue-green, and rolling deployments
• Set up automated testing gates and quality checks within pipelines
• Implement secrets management and secure credential handling
• Configure cloud connectors for AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or other cloud providers as needed

Security & Compliance

• Implement role-based access controls (RBAC) and governance policies
• Configure audit logging and compliance reporting capabilities
• Ensure deployments meet fintech regulatory requirements (SOC 2, PCI-DSS, etc.)
• Set up security scanning integration (SAST, DAST, container scanning)
• Implement approval workflows and change management processes

Integration & Automation

• Integrate Harness with source control systems (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket)
• Connect artifact repositories (Docker registries, Artifactory, etc.)
• Integrate with monitoring and observability tools (Datadog, New Relic, Prometheus, etc.)
• Set up notifications and alerting for pipeline events
• Configure automated rollback capabilities

Knowledge Transfer & Documentation

• Train development and DevOps teams on Harness platform usage
• Create comprehensive documentation for pipeline configurations and best practices
• Develop runbooks for common operational scenarios
• Conduct workshops and hands-on training sessions
• Provide post-implementation support during transition period

Required Qualifications

Technical Expertise

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, CI/CD, and software delivery
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Harness platform (Harness CD, CI, or both)
• Strong experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates)
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• Understanding of GitOps principles and practices

Fintech Experience

• Previous implementation experience in financial services or fintech environments
• Understanding of fintech compliance requirements (SOC 2, PCI-DSS, GDPR)
• Experience with regulated deployment processes and audit trails
• Knowledge of financial services security standards and best practices

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Strong documentation and training skills
• Ability to work independently and drive projects to completion
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Harness certification (Harness Certified Professional or Architect)
• Experience with microservices architectures
• Knowledge of service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd)
• Familiarity with APM and monitoring tools
• Experience with automated testing frameworks
• Background in SRE practices and principles
