Job Details

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of design, process, and manufacturing engineers
  • Oversee product development, testing, and validation to meet industry standards and customer specifications
  • Drive engineering support for production, sales, and quality teams
  • Collaborate directly with customers to design custom fastening solutions
  • Ensure adherence to ISO, SAE, DIN, ASME, and other industry standards
  • Support APQP, PPAP, and automotive product launch requirements
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables for engineering initiatives
  • Mentor and develop engineering staff while fostering a culture of continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related Engineering field (Master's preferred)
  • 5+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, including 3+ years in leadership roles
  • Strong knowledge of fastener design, cold heading, thread rolling, and heat treating processes
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, SAE, DIN, or ASME standards
  • Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of GD&T, PLM, and ERP systems
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects and engineering teams

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with fasteners in automotive or aerospace applications
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other structured improvement methodologies
  • Prior experience with OEM technical support, audits, or PPAP submissions
