Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and develop solutions within Oracle Insurance Policy Administration (OIPA).
- Analyze business and system requirements to implement policy administration functionality.
- Customize and enhance OIPA components such as Activities, Rules, Screens, Transactions, Math Variables, and Data Mappings.
- Integrate OIPA with external systems (e.g., billing, claims, CRM, or document management platforms).
- Work with XML, Java, and Oracle databases for configuration, scripting, and data integration.
- Participate in all phases of the SDLC requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain OIPA configurations for performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with QA, Business Analysts, and Project Managers to ensure high-quality, on-time deliverables.
- Support production environments, perform issue resolution, and implement enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for policy administration systems.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3 8 years of experience in software development with at least 2 5 years of hands-on OIPA experience.
- Proficiency in:
- Oracle Insurance Policy Administration (OIPA)
- Java, XML, and SQL
- Web Services (SOAP/REST)
- Solid understanding of insurance domain concepts life, annuities, policy administration, and billing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work on complex, integrated insurance systems.
- Experience working in Agile / Waterfall environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Oracle Insurance Suite (OIS) components like OIAD, OIDM, or OIR.
- Knowledge of integration tools such as Oracle SOA Suite or MuleSoft.
- Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and version control tools (Git, Jenkins).
- Prior experience in insurance product configuration and actuarial calculations.
- OIPA certification or Oracle Insurance product training is a plus.
