About the job

Are you highly skilled and experienced Cloud Architect willing to join our Cloud Technology Center and play a pivotal role in designing, building, and managing our cloud infrastructure across Azure (Must have) and AWS (add-on) platforms. You will leverage your expertise in cloud technologies and best practices to develop secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions that align with our business objectives and support the success of the Cloud Engineering Center's initiatives.

Responsibilities

Cloud Migrations & Transitions

  • Lead Safe Harbor migrations (as structured, controlled migration process from one environment to other with governance, compliance, security best practices embedded within) and drive legacy on-prem cloud transitions.
  • Develop and execute on-premises to cloud migration strategies following best practices.

Architecture & Design

  • Define and guide cloud design patterns, architecture principles, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into optimal Azure or AWS services.
  • Define and standardize deployment patterns (networking, storage, private endpoints, security).
  • Produce design artifacts including solution diagrams and environment requirements.

Architecture & Solutioning

  • Design, develop, and implement cloud architectures on Azure (must) or AWS, spanning IaaS, PaaS, and DBaaS services.
  • Seamlessly integrate cloud solutions with existing infrastructure and engineering tools.
  • Apply CloudOps practices to optimize cloud resource utilization.
  • Design solutions across N-Tier, 3-Tier, and complex architectures with strong dependency mapping.
  • Apply layered cloud architecture patterns for scalable and resilient solutions.
  • Drive end-to-end adoption lifecycle of DevSecOps, Platform Engineering, and CloudOps
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cloud-based solutions tailored to organizational needs.
  • Develop technical proposals with accurate effort and cost estimation, aligned with engineering goals.
  • Implement and manage observability tools (Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch, or third-party equivalents).
  • Ensure cost-efficient consumption of cloud services across environments.

Collaboration & Support

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers within the Cloud Technology Center.
  • Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Maintain and evolve the engineering knowledge base, templates, and best practices to support verticals and accounts.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of IT experience with at least 6+ years in cloud technologies.
  • Proven track record in cloud architecture design and implementation (Azure or AWS).
  • Strong expertise in IaaS and PaaS services across Azure or AWS.
  • Deep experience in datacenter migration strategies and execution.
  • Strong understanding and hands-on implementation of DevSecOps principles, including:
  • Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Build/release management
  • Experience with CloudOps methodologies for efficient cloud resource utilization.
  • Proficiency with automation and cloud-native infrastructure provisioning tools (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with Azure AD, MFA, and SSO (or equivalent identity and access management tools).
  • Strong knowledge with Microsoft/AWS Well-Architected Framework (or equivalent).
  • Experience handling end-to-end cloud proposal management in T&M or Fixed Bid engagements, including cost analysis.
  • Solid understanding of Cloud Governance models.
