Overview:
Seeking a seasoned Platform Engineer to join the Nebula Platform team supporting client. This role is pivotal in designing, building, and maintaining a Kubernetes-based Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) that enables scalable, secure, and self-service application deployment across hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and on-prem). The ideal candidate brings a strong background in enterprise architecture and modern software development practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Architect and implement Kubernetes clusters using tools like Rafay, vCluster, and Crossplane.
Develop Terraform modules for infrastructure provisioning and service catalog integration.
Implement Knative eventing, pod overlay networks, and service mesh components.
Define and enforce policies using OPA (Open Policy Agent) and Kyverno.
Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards and audit logging practices.
Build CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts to streamline platform operations.
Integrate observability tools and support SIEM integration.
Lead architectural discussions and contribute to the design of AI-driven SaaS products and microservices.
Support cloud migration strategies and enterprise platform modernization initiatives.
Partner with developers, architects, and project managers to align platform capabilities with business needs.
Maintain technical documentation in GitHub and user-facing materials in Confluence.
Provide L2/L3 support for platform-related issues.
Participate in on-call rotations and incident response as needed.
Required Qualifications:
7 10 years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles.
Demonstrated experience in enterprise architecture and platform strategy.
Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and container orchestration.
Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Crossplane).
Development experience with Java, JavaScript, Node.js, GoLang, Spring Boot, ReactJS, AngularJS, and microservices.
Familiarity with Kafka, Redis, Hadoop, Spark, and AI/ML frameworks including GenAI (OpenAI, Amazon Bedrock).
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and hybrid cloud networking.
Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or Go preferred).
Experience with OAuth, OIDC, JWT, Amazon Cognito, and IAM governance.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Rafay or similar Kubernetes management platforms.
Knowledge of Knative, vCluster, and GitOps workflows.
Familiarity with SAFe, Scrum, Jira, Git, and ServiceNow.
Exposure to platform governance and developer enablement strategies.
