Position: Sr. Power Apps Developer / Implementation Specialist
Location: 2 days per week onsite in DC/3 days remote

Position Overview:
Candidate will be a Senior Power Apps Implementer/SharePoint Administrator to lead the design, development, and deployment of end-to-end solutions on the Microsoft Power Platform/SharePoint. This role is for a senior-level individual contributor who will act as the primary expert and owner of the Power Platform/SharePoint capability. The ideal candidate combines technical mastery with business process insight, able to translate stakeholder needs into secure, scalable, and user-friendly applications.
This is a hands-on role with broad responsibility - from solution architecture to development, integration, governance, and user adoption.
Key Responsibilities:
Own full solution delivery lifecycle for Power Apps projects - from requirements gathering and architecture through deployment and support.
Design and implement complex Canvas and Model-Driven apps, including advanced formulas and responsive layouts.
Build enterprise-grade workflows in Power Automate, integrating across multiple systems.
Define and manage data models and security roles in Dataverse.
Create and connect to external APIs and custom connectors for third-party integration.
Partner with leadership and business owners to map business processes and recommend optimized digital solutions.
Establish best practices, governance, and compliance frameworks for Power Platform usage.
Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for Power Platform within the organization.
Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to business users and junior staff.
Monitor application health, performance, and usage, ensuring long-term sustainability.
Required Skills & Experience
Active & Maintained SECRET clearance
6+ Years designing and administering Microsoft SharePoint environments/applications
5+ years professional experience with Microsoft Power Platform, with deep expertise in Power Apps (Canvas & Model-Driven) and Power Automate.
Proven track record of end-to-end solution delivery in enterprise or complex environments.
Strong understanding of solution architecture, data modeling, and integration patterns.
Hands-on experience with Dataverse, SharePoint, Teams, SQL, and O365 ecosystem.
Proficiency in Power Fx formulas, custom connector development, and API integrations.
Solid grasp of security, governance, and application lifecycle management (ALM).
Ability to lead stakeholder engagement: requirements workshops, process design, solution presentations.
Excellent communication, documentation, and executive presentation skills.
Comfortable operating as a solo implementer and advisor to business and IT leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
Microsoft Certified Power Platform Developer / Functional Consultant / Solution Architect (PL-200, PL-400, or PL-600).
Experience with Power BI and AI Builder.
Exposure to federal, financial, or other regulated industries.
Knowledge of Agile/DevOps delivery practices.
Experience working within the Department of State including IT systems (ARIBA, OneFinancials, ServiceNow, SQL, Tableau, Momentum)
Experience developing applications related to financial management (Budget formulation/execution), SDLC, Risk Management, IT Service Delivery, Change Control, and Earned Value
