AWS QuickSight Administrator

NexSolv is seeking an AWS QuickSight Administrator for our direct client, State of Maryland.

Job Description:

AWS QuickSight Administrator responsible for the administration, configuration, and optimization of our QuickSight environment. You will collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data visualization needs and design effective dashboards and reports. The role will be instrumental in addressing challenges such as resource contention, data integrity, performance tuning, data governance, and security in our shared platform environment. Their proactive monitoring, optimization efforts, and collaboration with various stakeholders help create a robust and well-maintained data infrastructure, facilitating smooth operations for all applications and tools sharing the platform.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and configure AWS QuickSight to meet business requirements, including managing user access, permissions, and data sources.
• Administer and configure AWS DMS to meet business requirements, including managing replication instances, endpoints, and tasks.
• Design, develop, and maintain data migration and replication solutions using AWS DMS.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business goals, providing expertise on data migration and replication best practices.
• Ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of the AWS QuickSight environment by monitoring usage patterns, optimizing queries, and managing resources.
• Implement data governance best practices to maintain data integrity, consistency, and security within AWS QuickSight.
• Optimize performance and security of AWS DMS environment, including tuning replication settings, monitoring replication latency, and managing data transformations.
• Implement data governance best practices within AWS DMS, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and security.
• Monitor and troubleshoot issues in the AWS DMS environment, working closely with other teams to resolve technical challenges
• Provide technical support and training to users, helping them leverage the capabilities of AWS DMS for their data migration and replication needs.
• Provide technical support and training to users, helping them understand and leverage the capabilities of AWS QuickSight effectively.
• Troubleshoot issues in the AWS QuickSight, AWS DMS environment, working closely with other teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Stay updated with the latest AWS QuickSight, AWS DMS features, tools, and best practices, incorporating them into the organization's data visualization strategy.
• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to integrate data sources into AWS QuickSight, ensuring data quality and consistency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• At least five years of experience in administering BI tools such as Qlik, Attunity and QuickSight and Data Migration service (DMS)
• Proven experience as an AWS QuickSight Administrator or similar role
• In-depth knowledge of data migration and replication best practices
• In-depth knowledge of data visualization best practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
