Site Reliability Engineer

Role:

• Drive the technical implementation of monitoring and alerting strategies across enterprise-scale applications and infrastructure.
• Collaborate directly with development teams to ensure each new initiative includes the correct telemetry, log tagging, and alert payloads.
• Act as a liaison to Level 2 and Level 3 support teams to maintain and enhance monitoring dashboards used by the enterprise command center (EMC).
• Standardize alert formats to ensure consistency with SRE policies and support downstream incident management processes.
• Leverage a centralized alert correlation and enrichment platform to serve as the single source of truth for event ingestion and action.
• Validate upstream data sources (including configuration and asset repositories) feeding into the observability platform for completeness and accuracy.
• Develop custom validation scripts to proactively test monitoring coverage and data quality across environments.
• Support cross-team dashboard creation and maintenance across various functional teams.
• Actively participate in knowledge sharing and skill development within the observability team.
• Monitoring and visualization tools (e.g., Grafana, Elastic, and similar)
• Enterprise observability suites (correlation and event management tools)
• CMDB and asset discovery integration
• Scripting for validation (Python, PowerShell, or Shell scripting)
• Prior experience operating in a large-scale, complex IT environment with distributed systems
• A background in enterprise monitoring, observability, or SRE tooling
• Strong communication skills to work across engineering, infrastructure, and operations teams
• Comfort designing alert logic and thresholds and supporting high-visibility incidents
