Sr. QA Automation Tester with ADO experience (NO Corp-Corp or 3rd PTY)

This is a Hybrid position requiring up to 3 days onsite per week.

Your presence in the Des Moines, Iowa area is mandatory before Day-1.

American Computer Services Inc. is hiring a Senior Automation Tester to join an Agile Team and develop new tests for gap coverage, enhance the effectiveness of the current regression test suite, and analyze test failures.

YOU MUST HAVE proven ADO experience and experience enhancing test suites to provide additional capabilities, such as supporting testing against multiple application versions.

To be successful, you MUST have:

• Experience developing automated test cases and a repeatable test suite.
• Experience creating and/or maintaining Test Plans with ADO.
• Experience with automated functional regression testing.
• Experience with data-driven test development techniques.
• Experience with object recognition Test validation.
• Experience with lights-out unattended automation.
• Experience following the framework and guidelines established by QA Leads.
• Experience transforming business test cases into automated test coverage.
• Experience developing creative solutions to challenges that arise.
• Experience developing basic SQL queries to validate data in the database.
• Experience using third-party tools and system utilities.
• Experience applying Dev/Ops Concepts and continuous testing.
• Experience deploying risk-based testing techniques.
• Experience developing and executing API test cases.
• Experience with batch testing.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Complete end-to-end Manual and Automation testing.
• Create test plans in ADO, execute the test cases, and log defects.
• Conduct test-based analysis, identify test conditions, create test data, input test data, and verify the expected results for application product integration and user acceptance test phases.
• Develop, update, and maintain testing standards and procedures.
• Actively participate in sprint meetings to assist in creating manual test cases that are later turned into an automated test suite.
• Create and maintain automated test suites.
• Utilize SQL queries to complete data analysis to test front-end and back-end processes.
• Conduct smoke, sanity, regression, exploratory, and performance testing.
• Direct involvement in data load and data-sync testing.
• Develop repeatable, fully automated tests that will operate without manual intervention.\
• Provide creative solutions to challenges encountered in developing repeatable automation.
• Rapidly update tests based on changes in the application.
• Create test coverage using risk-based testing techniques.
• Execute unattended testing and maintain the test environment. 

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a computer-related program.
