Job title: Accountant II
Client: Global Atlantic
Location: Des Moines, IA ( Davis Brown Tower, 215 10th Street, 11th Floor, IA01)
Duration: 5 Months contract
Duties:
As an Sr. Analyst/Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions and maintaining financial records for the company. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and standards.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain financial records, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Process financial transactions. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data, and identify and resolve any discrepancies or errors. Prepare and analyze financial reports. Maintain accounting policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and principles. Prepare financial statements and reports for auditors and regulatory agencies. Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities, and provide input on financial strategy and planning. Provide financial analysis and support for various projects and initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Proven experience in accounting, preferably in a corporate setting. Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies or errors. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze financial data and provide recommendations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders. Ability to work independently and in a team environment and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
