Systems Engineering
  • Maintain and troubleshoot Linux (preferred) and Windows Server workloads, including IIS, Active Directory-integrated systems, and cloud-connected services.
  • Support backups, snapshots, replication jobs, and DR readiness procedures.
  • Configure and deploy systems using automation-first principles (Ansible, AWX, IaC, scripting).

Reliability Engineering & Observability
  • Implement and support monitoring using Datadog, CloudWatch, Splunk, Azure Sentinel and PagerDuty.
  • Create and maintain dashboards, alerts, and SLO/SLI-aligned monitoring.
  • Participate in incident response and produce actionable postmortems.
  • Identify failure patterns and drive operational improvements through automation.

Patch & Vulnerability Management

  • Analyze vulnerability findings, coordinate remediation, and provide audit-ready reporting.
  • Maintain compliance with required patching windows, cadences, and regulated SLAs.

Service Management & Compliance
  • Use ServiceNow for Incident, Change, Problem, and Request Management in accordance with ITIL best practices.
  • Support audit activities for FedRAMP, SOC 2, and HIPAA by providing logs, evidence, screenshots, and process documentation.
  • Follow least-privilege, MFA, and approved access control procedures.

Operational Support & Cross-Team Collaboration
  • Participate in a structured on-call rotation and respond to escalated alerts from monitoring platforms.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Security, DevOps, and NOC personnel to support high-availability operations.
  • Develop and maintain technical runbooks, SOPs, and system documentation.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Works with other departments teams, as requested, in recommending the required hardware and software topology for the right deployment architecture.
  • Contributes to the development and completion of technical RFPs.
