Solutions Architect

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Salt Lake City, UT that is seeking a proactive and visionary Solutions Architect to lead the design and implementation of advanced technology solutions aligned with key business objectives. This role is instrumental in shaping architectural strategies and promoting the adoption of modern platforms and design patterns, including microservices, event-driven systems, and AI/ML capabilities.

Responsibilities:
* Architect and design scalable, secure, and resilient systems using modern paradigms such as microservices, event-driven architecture, and cloud-native technologies
* Translate complex business needs into technical solutions that align with enterprise architecture and long-term strategic goals
* Advocate for the integration of emerging technologies-such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and real-time data processing-to drive innovation and efficiency
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, product leaders, engineers, and fellow architects to deliver cohesive, end-to-end solutions
* Serve as a thought leader, identifying technology trends and setting architectural direction to support future growth and transformation
* Create and maintain architectural documentation, including roadmaps, reference models, and design standards
* Ensure solutions meet both functional and non-functional requirements, including performance, scalability, security, observability, and maintainability
* Mentor and support development teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement
* Provide architectural guidance and hands-on support to agile delivery teams throughout the solution lifecycle

REQUIREMENTS:
* Deep understanding of API design, domain-driven design (DDD), and system integration patterns
* Strong background in data architecture, distributed systems, and real-time event processing
* Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (IaC)

Proven experience designing and implementing systems using:
* Microservices architecture
* Event-Driven Architecture (e.g., Kafka, Pub/Sub, Event Mesh)
* Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
* AI/ML services and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, SageMaker, Vertex AI)

Nice to have:
* Experience in regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, finance)
* Knowledge of container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) and service meshes
* Familiarity with security standards and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA)
* Ability to balance short-term delivery needs with long-term architecture goals

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
