Summary of the position
The Computer Analyst, also known as a Systems Analyst or IT Analyst, plays a critical role in bridging business needs with technology solutions.
Essential Job Duties:
System Evaluation and Analysis
Assess current computer systems and workflows to identify inefficiencies.
Analyze user requirements and business goals to determine system needs.
Solution Design and Development
Design new IT solutions or enhancements to existing systems.
Collaborate with developers to build or modify software applications.
Testing and Quality Assurance
Develop and execute test plans to ensure systems function correctly.
Identify bugs or issues and work with technical teams to resolve them
Non-Essential Job Duties:
Participating in marketing or sales meetings to understand product positioning.
Attending industry conferences or trade shows for professional development.
Contributing to company newsletters or blogs about tech trends or internal projects.
Assisting with hardware setup or troubleshooting, especially if there's a dedicated IT support team.
Mentoring interns or junior staff outside of formal training responsibilities.
Helping with software procurement or vendor selection, if not directly tied to system analysis.

Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree or 3 years of experience.
- Comp TIA Security + certification
- MWS (Mobile Workstation) experience
- Experience in TCP/IP network administration, and hands-on experience with network switches routers and network troubleshooting.
- Must have strong written and oral English language skills.
- Clearance Requirement: Secret
Responsibilities:
- Perform the installation of equipment, connection of peripherals, and the installation/deletion of client level software.
- Configure client level software, modify software configuration, and perform basic configuration management functions.
- Provide and manage software applications and servers for the functionality of eTools and other supported programs necessary for MWS (Mobile Workstation) usage.
- Perform initial client device configuration, diagnostics and troubleshooting of client devices assigned to them.
- Assign, modify, and delete passwords and user privileges.
- Verify that eTools connect with WLAN networks.
- Perform client device installation and setup for any VPN client software and WLAN interfaces as well as any WLAN xSec client.
- Troubleshoot and correct any connection issues as required.
Working Conditions
- Standard office environment.
- May require extended hours during project deadlines or system implementations.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods in stationary position at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move throughout the office, including across longer distances such as from the building entrance to the workspace.
