Job Title: Senior .NET Developer Market Data Integration
Location: New York City, NY (Hybrid 3 Days Onsite)
Project Overview:
Our client, a major financial institution in NYC, seeking a skilled Senior .NET Developer to work closely with their Market Data Analyst to unlock the full business value of external data feeds.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Integrate and work with external market data sources (e.g., S&P, Bloomberg, Markit, Greenstreet, MSCI, Intex).
Collaborate with the Market Data Analyst to structure, join, and make data usable for various business units.
Design and build APIs to integrate and expose structured data.
Develop and manage robust, scalable data pipelines.
Optimize data processing and storage using modern cloud and data engineering tools.
Translate complex market data feeds into usable business insights and reports (including PowerBI dashboards).
Must-Have Qualifications:
6+ years of professional software development experience.
Strong expertise in .NET Core and C#, building scalable, high-performance applications.
Proven experience working with RESTful APIs both consuming and building APIs at scale.
Strong hands-on experience in SQL query optimization, database performance tuning.
Cloud platform experience Azure preferred; AWS/Google Cloud Platform experience also considered.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools, especially Azure DevOps.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and manipulation.
Experience with Data Lakes, SQL Server, Databricks, Azure Synapse, and Azure Data Factory.
Solid understanding of Power BI report creation, data modeling, and dashboard development.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Skills:
Experience working with financial/market data feeds and modeling large datasets.
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and data ingestion frameworks.
Background working in financial services or capital markets is a strong plus.
Interview Process:
Video call followed by potential onsite discussion.
Note: This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days/week onsite in NYC. Local candidates or those willing to relocate are highly preferred.
