Job Details

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe COBOL Developer to support the design, development, and maintenance of mission-critical mainframe applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with COBOL, DB2, VSAM, and JCL, along with solid knowledge of job scheduling and version control tools in a high-performance production environment.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, DB2, VSAM, and JCL

Provide support for development and testing environments to enable efficient deployments

Troubleshoot and resolve L2 production issues

Utilize Broadcom tools such as CA7 and Endevor for job scheduling, code versioning, and deployment

Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions

Conduct code reviews and support system testing

Document technical specifications and maintain records of system changes

Stay up-to-date with evolving mainframe tools, frameworks, and best practices

Requirements:

8 12 years of experience in mainframe development and support

Proficiency with COBOL, DB2, VSAM, JCL, and Batch processing

Experience with Broadcom tools (CA7, Endevor) is highly desirable

Strong understanding of financial/transaction processing domains (e.g., client settlement, interchange, funding, billing, disputes)

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (preferred)
