Microsoft 365 Solutions Specialist

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Microsoft 365 Solutions Specialist to design, implement, and manage Microsoft 365 (M365) solutions to enhance organizational productivity, collaboration, and security. The M365 Solutions Specialist will be responsible for deploying and optimizing M365 applications, services, and AI-powered tools, such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Copilot, and OneDrive, to meet business needs. This role requires deep expertise in M365 ecosystems, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Solution Design: Architect and customize M365 solutions, including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Copilot, to align with organizational goals for productivity, collaboration, and security.

  • Implementation and Deployment: Deploy and configure M365 applications and services, ensuring seamless integration with existing IT infrastructure, including hybrid and cloud environments.

  • User Support and Training: Provide technical support, guidance, and training to end-users and IT staff on M365 tools to maximize adoption and efficiency.

  • Security and Compliance: Implement and manage M365 security features, including Microsoft Entra ID, data loss prevention (DLP), and compliance policies, to safeguard organizational data.

  • AI Integration: Leverage AI-powered tools like Microsoft 365 Copilot to enhance workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and provide actionable insights for users.

  • Migration: Plan and execute migrations to M365 from legacy systems or other platforms, ensuring minimal disruption and secure data transfer.

  • Optimization: Monitor and optimize M365 performance, using tools like Microsoft Copilot Dashboard to track usage trends, user sentiment, and system efficiency.

  • Collaboration: Work with stakeholders, including IT teams, business units, and vendors, to align M365 solutions with organizational needs and ensure seamless collaboration.

  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of M365 configurations, policies, and procedures to support ongoing operations and compliance.

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on M365 updates, new features, and industry trends to recommend and implement innovative solutions.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in IT, with at least 2 years focused on Microsoft 365 deployment, administration, or solution design.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Expertise in M365 services (e.g., Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange Online, Power Platform, Copilot).

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Active Directory, and M365 security and compliance tools.

    • Experience with cloud migration, hybrid environments, and integration with Azure or other cloud platforms.

    • Knowledge of PowerShell scripting for M365 administration and automation.

    • Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) is a plus.

  • Certifications: Required: Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals (MS-900) or equivalent. Preferred: Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Security Administrator Associate, or Teams Administrator Associate.

  • Soft Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    • Excellent communication and training skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

    • Ability to manage projects and work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Work Environment

  • Location: Hybrid, remote, or on-site, depending on organizational needs, with occasional travel for deployments or training.

  • Schedule: Full-time, with potential for on-call support for critical issues.

  • Conditions: Primarily office-based or remote, with access to M365 admin tools and collaboration platforms.
