Your role
Are you passionate about bringing systems to life? Do you have a curious nature, always interested in how to innovate?
We're looking for someone like that to help us:
analyze and understand business and technical stories, design systems, write and review code, implement automated tests, contribute to release and iteration planning and develop & streamline the working practices of our team
lead a development team to steer deliverables to success, managing stakeholder expectations
mentor and groom staff in our team
capture detailed requirements based upon user interviews and system/data analysis
complete the unit testing of components for integration into larger subsystems
support the business to resolve high-priority defects and deploy fixes to production systems
make sure that produced code is secure, stable and operational before being released to production
contribute widely in establishing and promoting best practices and pro-actively investigate and propose new technologies for use within the department
Detailed salary information:
Weehawken: the salary range for this role is $140000 to $180000
The expected salary range(s) for this role as of the date of this posting is/are based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, education, location and skill level. Your team
You'll be working across portfolio of applications within the Smart Technologies & Advanced Analytics Team (STAAT) under Wealth Management Americas (WMA) Technology group. These applications are used by several thousand Financial Advisors and Team Administrators across the Wealth Management Americas and include a platform providing online and offline communication tools like emails, panel and scheduling. STAAT leverages AI to better detect client needs from email communication and eventually calls. These then surface relevant, actionable insights and CIO content at the point of interaction and in real-time. STAAT Insights deliver contextually aware, actionable client opportunities and insights where the advisors need them the most.

Your expertise
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related engineering or technical fields with ideally 8+ years for relevant experience
large-scale enterprise, object-oriented design experience
demonstrable experience in developing enterprise-class applications using Java 17, Unix/Linux, Spring, Hibernate, Maven, JMS, Oracle PL/no/SQL
experience in application development , including analyzing stories, writing code, implementing automated tests, contributing to release and iteration planning and developing the working practices of our team
familiarity with common web application components such as Apache Web Server and Apache Tomcat or similar technologies
strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills (you know how to figure stuff out)
a conceptual understanding of software development including the full project lifecycle from working on multiple substantial projects using Agile development methodologies
follow Agile methodology and adhere standard SDLC processes within the bank
curious and collaborative, comfortable working independently, as well as in a global team
team player with an attitude to pursue new ideas and self-improvement
able to plan your own work, follow the plan and update others on your progress
the go-to person for the latest development innovation
strong leader demonstrating high standards of integrity
