Job Details

Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, monitor, and maintain an organization's local and wide area networks (LANS and WANs).
  • Ensure optimal network performance, security, and uptime by configuring and managing network hardware like routers, switches, firewalls, and access points. Troubleshoot network issues and perform system upgrades as needed.
  • Create network architecture blueprints, including network topology, bandwidth allocation, and security protocols.
  • Install and configure network devices like routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Implement policies to make the organization's infrastructure more secure and robust.
  • Implement and maintain network security measures like firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access controls.
  • Maintain detailed network documentation, including network diagrams, configuration details, and incident reports.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of data network services and data communications.
  • Experience in configuring routers, switches, firewalls, access points and troubleshooting network issues.
  • Configure and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, antivirus solutions, and access controls.
  • Maintaining detailed network documentation, including network topology diagrams, configuration details, and incident reports.
  • Cisco or Palo Alto firewall experience desired.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Splunk etc. preferred.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, Ethernet, and OSI model fundamentals.
  • Monitor for vulnerabilities, perform security audits, and assist with incident response.
  • Experience with direct interaction with customer needed.
  • Ability to work on a rotating on-call schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • CompTIA Security+ mandatory.
  • Willing to travel 50-60%

Education:

  • Minimum Bachelor s degree in Computer Science required.

Certification:

  • CCNA/CCNP or other networking certifications desired.
