Team/Division Description



The chosen candidate will join the team working on the Digital Transformation Program. The primary responsibilities will be facilitating the delivery of assessments and leading the execution of projects that result from those assessments. This will include leading project teams, engaging stakeholders, managing partnerships with third party contributors, acting as the primary point of contact for project status and budget reporting, and managing schedules, risks and issues that arise.



The Program has workstreams and subprojects with additional assessments planned to further increase that work. Currently the program is focused on:



  • Pricing Transition existing pricing models from .XLS to Domino Data Labs, creation of lightweight web front ends or connection to UW workbench, and the implementation of model monitoring and governance

  • Underwriting Selection and implementation of an Underwriting Workbench across QBEs Middle Market, Aviation, Financial Lines and Commercial Casualty lines of business

  • Marketing Identify technologies to aid organization in marketing to their customers and track overall effectiveness

  • Digital Assessments and Capability Tests Conduct additional assessments as indicated in the original roadmap and run capability tests to quickly test new technologies that might be a fit

Day In The Life of Contractor


What will this person be doing every day?



Ultimately the person will be driving the delivery of various pieces of our Digital Program. This involves meeting with various stakeholders, working to understand their business areas, working with them to understand current capabilities and future state needs, working with business/IT to develop solutions, and then working to execute on those efforts. This will include partnering with those same teams to oversee the development of project plans, driving the team towards identified milestones, ensuring tracked issues/risks/dependencies are mitigated or properly escalated, developing budgets and track forecasts, developing and delivering team and senior stakeholder communications, etc.



They will likely also be tasked with other Program responsibilities as needed, i.e., developing Program Steering Committee communications or tracking issues across the entire program.



Technical Skills and Experience


What are the top 3 - 5 must have technical skills?



  • Effectively lead programs and large projects to achieve defined business outcomes by creating high performing teams of business, IT and third-party stakeholders focused on initiating, designing, and delivering digital solutions. Serve as a primary point of contact for business sponsors and other business stakeholders.

  • Experience with digital technologies and digital transformation projects highly preferred, i.e., implementation of new technologies, site development, UI (User Interface), workflows, etc.

  • Experience across a range of areas; P&C business, IT, Marketing, Finance

  • Demonstrate strong business acumen and leadership with a focus on driving results, removing execution barriers, and anticipating and managing program risks.

  • Strong project and program management skills including the ability to create a quality project schedule, manage project interdependencies and oversee the development of estimates, benefit commitments, and overall project costs including contingency.

  • Extremely proficient with MS Office Apps - MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word
