Mechatronics Engineer - Aftermarket

Job Description

• Develop, document and optimize Spare Parts solution needed for technical repairs.
• Develop, adapt and document repair methods & standard times on component, system and vehicle level.
• Develop, adapt and document special tools needed to perform repair methods.
• Lead internal technical review related to spare parts, repair methods and standard times to assure coherence.
• Ensure that the repair methods & standard times fulfill Volvo Group’s safety and quality objectives.
• Secure to verify, validate and quality assure technical solution prior to introduction in systems.
• Ensure the technical solution is synchronized with stakeholders and taking holistic view of entire product value chain.
• Take ownership of the parts assortment and repair methods throughout the product lifecycle.
• Close collaboration with Product Development Engineering to share learnings from the market and product performance to enhance vehicle uptime.
• Use machine learning and business intelligence to drive efficiencies in the day-to-day work to improve dealer workshop autonomy and maintenance effectiveness.
• Have a passion/interest in Automation (Python, Java, C++) to develop solutions to drive efficiency in day-to-day work.
• Strong skills in Data Analytics to help drive decision making to support the business based on data.

Qualifications

•  0 to 5 years relevant experience. 
• Self-sufficient, takes lead on own tasks and able to work/plan independently.
• Self-driven proactive engagement with learning opportunities and ongoing Experienced development.
• Honing skills in own discipline whilst growing a more general, broader view of wider Business Area.
• Shows potential for longer-term development.
