The Iowa Department of Management DoIT is actively seeking an experienced Drupal Web Developer to join their Digital Experience (DX) team. This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and maintaining mission-critical, citizen-facing websites and in shaping the digital experience for thousands of Iowans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain Drupal CMS websites

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and implement enhancements

  • Provide support via Acquia and manage user roles, permissions, and core updates

  • Integrate and maintain Qualtrics surveys, dashboards, and analytics

  • Implement accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA) and customer experience improvements

  • Ensure mobile-friendly, adaptive/responsive web design

  • Coordinate third-party tool integrations and digital accessibility compliance

  • Leverage tools like Figma, Google Analytics, and Adobe Creative Cloud


Required Skills & Experience:

  • 8+ years in Drupal CMS, PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Responsive Design

  • 5+ years using Git, Acquia, Figma, Adobe CC, and Google Analytics

  • Strong experience in Qualtrics or similar tools for survey design/integration

  • Excellent understanding of web accessibility, UX, and digital content strategy

  • Strong communication and project management capabilities
