As a Manufacturing Engineer II with PCB Piezotronics, Inc., you will be the technical expert and apply your education, experience, and expertise in the launch of new product designs into manufacturing, to drive process improvements and to solve manufacturing problems
Additional Duties:
* Promotes teamwork, cooperation and commitment to "Total Customer Satisfaction" among team members.
- Interprets complex mechanical drawings, schematics and technical specifications to evaluate product designs to develop manufacturing work instructions, processes, routers, procedures and test protocols.
- Develops prototype/pilot manufacturing builds to test and evaluate product and process designs and revisions.
- Works in close collaboration with other engineering teams, Supply Chain, Operations, Sales and Quality in the launch of new products and the manufacturing support and improvement of existing products.
- Develops and designs tools and fixtures, researches and specifies manufacturing machinery, equipment and systems.
- Creates and maintains accurate mechanical drawings, schematics, technical specifications and manufacturing process documentation.
- Provides documentation and training on assembly methods, test procedures and production equipment.
- Conducts failure analyses to resolve manufacturability or quality issues. Provides technical assistance in matters of applications, products, materials, equipment and processes.
- May travel up to 10% to visit customers, vendors, suppliers, other company locations, affiliates, attend technical meetings, trade shows or conferences.
- Performs other related tasks and duties, as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in the field of Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or Engineering Technology or equivalent.
Experience:
- Minimum 4 years Manufacturing Engineering experience.
- Manufacturing processes expertise
- Formal problem-solving methodologies
- Lean, Six-Sigma, DOE and statistical analysis
- Manufacturing process development, routers & work-instructions
- Tolerance analysis and manufacturability design review
- Tool and fixture design
- Materials, materials processing and metallurgy knowledge
