Description

SAIC is seeking a skilled Acquisition SETA with strong background in project management and a keen interest in AI. This position is part of a team dedicated to providing comprehensive lifecycle acquisition support and technical guidance to the NRO's Advanced Ground Office (AGO) within Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED). The ideal candidate will have proven experience in acquisition and project management, combined with the ability to offer strategic insights across all phases of the acquisition process- from pre-acquisition through program execution and performance management.

Daily activities include (but are not limited to):

Provide comprehensive acquisition and project management support
  • Support PMs, COTRs, Cos throughout the acquisition lifecycle, including planning, coordination, and execution.

Project Planning and Coordination
  • Develop and refine project plans, schedules, and milestones in alignment with program objectives
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings between engineering teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and task alignment
  • Monitor project timelines and deliverables, alerting leadership to potential risks or deviations from project plan.

Resource Management
  • Liaise with various teams and departments to ensure the availability of necessary resources (compute resources, tools, data)
  • Track resource allocation and utilization to optimize project efficiency and avoid resource bottlenecks

Monitoring and Reporting
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including status reports, deliverable tracking, and project dashboards
  • Regularly report project progress to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, risks, and next steps

Support End-To-End Acquisitions
  • Conduct market research, tech evaluations, and assist with acquisition strategies and plans
  • Draft key acquisition documents (SOWs, Acquisition Strategies, RFPs, RFIs)
  • Develop Contractor Bidders' Library and support source selection processes
  • Provide strategic and programmatic analysis and recommendations throughout the acquisition cycle
  • Assist in performance management, contract administration, and risk assessment
  • Monitor and Analyze contract requirements, performance metrics, budgets, and schedules
  • Recommend improvements for acquisition planning and management processes
  • Provide admin support for award fee activities and contract oversight

Participate in identifying and coordinating actions across the team

Qualifications
  • Must have an active TS/SCI with Poly
  • Must have a BS in a related field with 9 years experience and at least 5 years of experience with NRO, Systems Engineering, Architecture, and project management
  • Familiarity with the acquisition process and interest in AI is preferred
