Job Description
The Engineering Controls Program Manager will provide hands-on Project Management and technical leadership for Controller and Digital product solutions. This is a key position on the Electronic Controls team within Rheem's Advanced Technology Integration organization, providing advanced technologies and systems solutions for Rheem's Water and Air business units.
This position will serve our Enterprise Division, located in Roswell, GA; Indianapolis, IN; Lewisville, TX; Fort Smith, AR (Hybrid).

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to define project scope, timing, and deliverables.
- Lead and monitor cross-functional project teams, collaborating with software, hardware, test, and product development teams throughout the product life cycle.
- Ensure strategic alignment of product projects, controls projects, and mobile application projects with customer installation and service experience requirements.
- Develop, maintain, and update comprehensive project plans, including deliverables, builds, key dependencies, and schedules.
- Publish project plans, metrics, and issue trackers for transparent communication and tracking of project progress.
- Facilitate regular project team meetings for stakeholders to share status, plan progress, and resolve cross-cutting issues.
- Participate in product design reviews to ensure necessary hardware and software features are incorporated.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical discipline).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in the development of embedded microprocessor-based controls and Digital Products (entire lifecycle).
- Proven track record of developing talent and building / leading effective teams.
- Able to work with cross-functional teams (e.g., product managers, engineers, business teams) and external subject matter experts.
- Passionate about building and owning innovative, customer-facing services/products.
- Great presentation and communication skills.
- Experience with System Requirements Documentation, Requirements Allocation, Requirements Traceability, and Test Case development and execution.
- Experience with product and component-level FMEAs
- Experience with electronics failure analysis
- Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
- An innovative solution-first spirit and an ability to think creatively.
- Ability to travel.
Preferred Qualification:
- Master's degree in Engineering
- Gas appliance Application Experience (Strongly preferred)
- HVAC or Water Heating Application Experience (Strongly preferred)
- Electronics Design Experience
- Software Experience
- Electronics Manufacturing Experience
- Quality / Reliability Experience
- Project Management Certification.
- Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt Certification
