Position Overview

our client is seeking an experienced SAP Technical Business Analyst to support a Greenfield SAP S/4HANA (RISE with SAP) finance implementation across the organization. This role has a strong domain emphasis in Oil & Gas, particularly upstream and LNG operations, and partners closely with finance and accounting stakeholders to ensure SAP finance processes are properly designed, configured, and supported as the business scales.

This is a hands-on functional role requiring deep SAP Finance expertise, a strong understanding of production revenue accounting, and the ability to translate accounting and operational requirements into effective SAP configuration and workflows. This position does not involve custom development or integration engineering.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a functional SAP Business Analyst supporting SAP S/4HANA (RISE with SAP) finance modules within an Oil & Gas environment.

Act as a domain point of contact for SAP finance and production revenue accounting processes across upstream and LNG business functions.

Gather, analyze, and document finance and business requirements, translating them into SAP functional designs and configurations.

Configure and support SAP finance workflows, including:

General Ledger (GL)

Accounts Payable (AP)

Fixed Assets

Production Revenue Accounting (PRA)

Support SAP configuration changes, enhancements, testing, and issue resolution throughout the Greenfield implementation lifecycle and post-go-live stabilization.

Partner closely with finance and accounting teams to ensure SAP workflows accurately reflect business processes, financial controls, and compliance requirements.

Develop and maintain a strong understanding of end-to-end SAP finance data flows (e.g., invoicing, AP to GL) to support accurate financial reporting.

Create and maintain functional documentation and support ongoing SAP finance optimization as the organization grows.

Required Qualifications

Hands-on experience supporting SAP S/4HANA (RISE with SAP) finance environments.

Strong functional knowledge of SAP Finance modules, including:

General Ledger (GL)

Accounts Payable (AP)

Fixed Assets

Production Revenue Accounting (PRA) or strong upstream production accounting exposure

Experience supporting SAP in an Oil & Gas environment, with a preference for upstream or LNG operations.

Clear understanding of production revenue accounting concepts, even if direct PRA configuration experience is limited.

Proven ability to translate accounting and operational needs into clear SAP functional configurations and workflows.

Strong communication skills with experience working directly with finance and accounting stakeholders.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications

Direct, hands-on configuration experience with SAP Production Revenue Accounting (PRA).

Experience supporting Greenfield SAP implementations.

Background in LNG, midstream, or complex operational environments.
