Regulatory Relations Associate Director

Location: Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)

Term: Permanent/Full-TIme

Requirement:

• Minimum 5 years of related experience in regulatory relations. Must have worked closely with regulators and handled regulator requests and exams (not just peripherally in compliance, etc.).
• 8 10+ years of experience in Public Relations, Communications, or related field.
• Experience interfacing with domestic (must have) & global (preferred) regulators (European Securities and Markets Authority ( ESMA ), Financial Conduct Authority ( FCA ), and/or Monetary Authority of Singapore ( MAS ))
• Knowledge of clearing agency business, global trade repositories, derivatives transactions
• Experience managing regulatory responses and timelines, including preparing SMEs for engagements
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to work occasionally outside of standard U.S. business hours to support global regulators/teams (Up to 20% time spent meeting with global partners/regulators during non-standard hours)
• Bachelor s degree in Communications, Journalism, or related discipline (preferred).
• Strong expertise in media relations, corporate communications, and reputation management.
• Excellent storytelling and writing skills, able to translate complex topics into engaging narratives.
• Background in digital assets, blockchain, or crypto strongly preferred.
• Experience working in financial services is a plus.
• Skilled in building executive visibility and thought leadership strategies.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities
