Position is Hybrid/ 2 days on site at our Chicago office location.

We cannot support candidates 100% remote and living out of state for this position.

Description
We are looking for a highly motivated, results driven Sr QA Analyst who will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams. As a Software QA Engineer in our trading business, you will have the opportunity to work as part of a team of testers, developers and business analysts to ensure the successful and high-quality release of software for world class electronic trading systems.

Principal Accountabilities:
Assist QA Manager and QA Lead Analyst in identifying test scope, identifying project risks, and implementing process changes and efficiencies.

Escalate major quality and any potential issues to the lead or a manager to initiate a prompt response to any issue.
Create and maintain test artifacts and facilitate artifact reviews.

Ensure compliance with SDLC processes.
Execute responsibilities with minimal oversight. Demonstrate the ability to work as a self-starter with minimal supervision.
Interface and communicate with internal teams and external support groups.

Accountability for total product quality.

Skills & Software Requirements:

6+ years of experience in Software Quality Engineering and Development.

Experience with test tools such Unix Shell scripting, GIT and SQL.

Mid level Java Experience.

Strong experience with Cucumber.

Understanding of Financial Markets is Plus.

Ability to work independently, multi-task and manage time priority to meet deadlines.

Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
