Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience
1-2 years of experience in a technical support role focused on multi-functional, plotter, and desktop print devices
Strong understanding of printer hardware and software components
Familiarity with troubleshooting techniques for common printer issues
Applicable understanding of networking concepts related to printer installations and connectivity
Ability to physically move printers within a site when necessary
Ability to travel if required
Applicable understanding of inventory management
Familiarity with troubleshooting various printer types (multi-functional, desktop laser, and inkjet)
Basic troubleshooting of operating systems such as Windows and macOS

Printer Technician Overview
We are seeking a motivated Printer Technician to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about technology and eager to apply their technical skills in a dynamic environment. The Printer Technician will play a key role in providing technical support and maintenance for printing devices, ensuring optimal performance and client satisfaction. Responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting network printer installations, maintaining inventory, and collaborating with vendor technicians. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with various printer types, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.

Job Duties
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve printer issues (hardware and software)
Perform routine maintenance on multifunctional, plotter, laser, and inkjet devices
Support network installation and configuration of printers at client sites
Document service requests, maintenance activities, and resolutions in the ticketing system
Order and manage inventory of toner and part replacements
Initiate incident tickets via vendor portal and track through internal service management tools
Work directly with external printer technicians for incident fulfillment and break-fix support
Participate in training sessions to enhance technical knowledge and skills
Contribute to the development of best practices for printer maintenance protocols

Specific Details to Call Attention To
Physical ability to move printers within the site is necessary
Strong customer service orientation and willingness to learn are critical for success in this role
Must be able to collaborate with external vendors and internal teams effectively
Role requires documentation of all support activities within the designated ticketing systems
