Job Details

Scope of Work:

The Florida Department of Revenue is seeking a highly experienced Testing Coordinator Consultant to support the eFile and Pay project. This role is strictly onsite in Tallahassee, FL remote work is not permitted.

Required Experience:

Candidates must demonstrate the following:

  • 3+ years of experience in IT Testing and Testing Lead roles (including test script development, team management, and execution oversight).

  • 5+ years of experience with Agile project methodologies.

  • 2+ years of experience implementing online submission or ordering systems with payment processing.

  • 5+ years of experience using Issue and Project Tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).

  • Testing Certification ISTQB or equivalent is mandatory.

Preferred Skills & Expertise:

  • Strong background in quality assurance across various testing types: functional, integration, regression, performance, accessibility, and usability.

  • Ability to translate business and technical requirements into comprehensive test scripts.

  • Experience defining test strategies and test plans with detailed scope, timelines, and resource needs.

  • Strong defect management skills including prioritization and resolution tracking based on business impact.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and team collaboration skills.

  • Experience with:

    • Jira

    • Azure DevOps

    • Microsoft Office 365 suite

  • Responsibilities Include:

    • Serve as Testing Coordinator for the eFile and Pay project.

    • Define and manage test plans, cases, and data to validate requirements.

    • Lead System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

    • Produce detailed testing reports covering status, issues, defects, owners, resolution timelines, and risks.

    • Collaborate with testers to assign and execute test scripts efficiently.

    • Ensure adherence to Departmental standards and protocols.

    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Education & Certification:

    • Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related technology field.

    • ISTQB Certification (or equivalent testing credential).
