About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with strong systems analysis experience. This role requires a highly skilled professional who can work in a dynamic, collaborative environment while supporting multiple business lines and a portfolio containing both custom applications and third-party platforms.
The BSA will ensure business needs are clearly understood, documented, and communicated to technical teams. Responsibilities include analysis and design of new features, platform enhancements, troubleshooting, managing small to medium enhancements, and supporting urgent production issues. The role also includes mentoring junior analysts.
This is a true BSA role, requiring technical systems experience not a standard Business Analyst role.

Business Systems Analyst Responsibilities
- Perform BSA tasks across work efforts ranging from small enhancements to large projects.
- Ensure proper adherence to SDLC processes.
- Produce thorough user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Understand business vision for projects, enhancements, and defect remediation.
- Recommend best practices to business stakeholders.
- Provide analysis for build vs. buy decisions including cost/benefit considerations.
- Use elicitation techniques such as JAD sessions, interviews, surveys, and shadowing.
- Document RFPs, SOWs, business requirements, flows, and process documentation.
- Formulate detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Understand system impacts and recommend logical system design improvements.
- Support technical teams in design sessions and requirements clarification.
- Gather and document integration requirements, data sources, and source-to-target mapping.
- Support changes in integration processes based on system updates or business needs.
- Partner with technical and QA teams to validate requirements and ensure successful testing.
- Assist in UAT planning and execution.
Additional Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
- Strong understanding of web and client/server application concepts.
- Effective meeting facilitation, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to mentor junior team members.
- Experience with HR systems and eCommerce implementation.
Onsite Requirement Confirmation
This position requires being onsite 4 days per week with no exceptions.
