Job Summary:
We are hiring a Network Administrator to join our client's onsite IT team in downtown Austin. The role involves supporting and maintaining all aspects of network infrastructure, Windows servers, Cisco and Meraki devices, Microsoft 365 services, and telecom systems.
You will play a key role in ensuring network performance, uptime, documentation, and security compliance within a dynamic agency environment.
Core Responsibilities:
Administer Windows Server (2012+) in Active Directory domains
Manage Microsoft 365: user provisioning, mailboxes, Teams, and SharePoint
Configure TCP/IP services: LDAP, DHCP, DNS, SMTP
Manage ACLs, GPOs, file & print services, automation tools
Support and maintain VOIP systems, document management, imaging systems
Install/configure Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs
Administer Meraki wireless infrastructure
Monitor and troubleshoot using PRTG, MRGT, ManageEngine
Perform software/hardware updates and proactive troubleshooting
Support network performance tuning and capacity planning
Maintain documentation for audits, compliance, and reporting
Train users and provide technical support
Required Experience (Minimum 10 Years Overall):
3+ years in Network Administration or Support roles
Windows Server management in Active Directory domain environments
Hands-on experience with Cisco and Meraki equipment
Experience with VoIP system administration
Microsoft 365 management (users, Teams, mailboxes, SharePoint)
TCP/IP services setup and troubleshooting
Virtualized environments like VMware or Hyper-V
Familiarity with compliance-driven IT documentation
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (preferred)
Experience with:
Network performance tools: PRTG, MRGT, ManageEngine
Drush, DNS security practices, scripting tools
Imaging/document management and telecommunication systems
Recent certifications in networking or Microsoft systems (a plus)
Skills & Traits:
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Clear, professional communication (written & verbal)
Self-starter with strong time management
Ability to prioritize incidents, updates, and documentation
Must be able to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams
Other Requirements:
Must pass criminal background check
Must complete IT Security Training and provide certification
Occasional after-hours support for urgent issues or scheduled maintenance
Weekly reporting of work status, updates, risks, and documentation
