SALARY RANGE

The starting salary range for Data Analyst II is $86,800 - $108,500 (based on qualifications). With tenure and strong performance in this role an employee may earn up to a maximum of $130,200, annualized.

The starting salary range for the Data Analyst III is $101,120 - $126,400 (based on qualifications). With tenure and strong performance in this role an employee may earn up to a maximum of $151,680, annualized.

The starting salary range for the Data Analyst Senior is $114,960 - $143,700 (based on qualifications). With tenure and strong performance in this role an employee may earn up to a maximum of $172,440, annualized.

Introductory Period: New employees holding regular positions must complete an introductory period of twelve months.

Data Analyst II

Overview
The Data Analyst II will design, develop, enhance and utilize data analytics and business intelligence information, with assistance from higher level Analysts, and will contribute to the development of business processes as assigned to enable the District to build and sustain a 'best in industry' data-driven decision-making environment, supporting a culture of continuous learning and continuous process improvement.
Responsibilities

  • Data Analytics Contribute to the design, development, enhancement, and the use of data analytics and tools to meet customer and business decision-making needs. Analyze structured data and related information and formulate a wide range of insights. Contribute to changes and recommendations provided by senior analysts. Perform research and analysis on data analytics practices and techniques. Be a resource for data analytics in special projects, client requests and reports requiring analytics. May Programmatically evaluate noisy data and develop automated analytics processes. Explore data sources, processes, uses, definitions, clean, process and translate data into model designs that are later moved to production and maintained.
  • Business Intelligence - Collaborate on design, development, and troubleshoot new and existing business intelligence reporting tools. Identify data-driven information, metrics and reporting needs and requirements. Seek opportunities for stakeholders to utilize data analytics and business intelligence tools to enhance District s capabilities in being a data-driven organization. Test and validate tools and data for accuracy. May Conduct quality assurance checks, create recurring reports and assist the development of reporting dashboards.
