Title: Sourcing/Procurement Consultant

Duration: 12 Months(extendable)

Location: 100% Remote

 

About the Opportunity

This role is responsible for executing the strategic sourcing, vendor relationship and contract management activities for the cybersecurity category within the Technology division. This role will partner closely with IT Security, Risk, Legal, and Finance teams to ensure that cybersecurity solutions are cost-effective, contractually sound, and aligned with organizational risk posture.

In this role, you will:

Collaborate with business partners (40%)

  • Work in a small team within the Procurement organization that provides dedicated support to the Technology division
  • Partner with business unit stakeholders to understand technology roadmaps and coordinate RFI s, RFP s and RFQ s to maximize value through the organization s vendor evaluation, selection and implementation activities
  • Bring industry benchmarks, expertise, knowledge of trends, consultant and other third-party data to bear in preparation for vendor selection and negotiation

Execute Agreements and manage vendors (40%)

  • Lead vendor negotiations to ensure that College Board contracts at competitive prices and terms including Data Management, Information Security, Web Accessibility and Disaster Recovery
  • Manage the process to review and negotiate contract documents, coordinating resources in Legal, Governance, Risk and Compliance and CB business units. Review and redline terms and conditions to ensure maximum value and minimum risk
  • Own and manage key vendor relationships for appropriate issue escalation. Intercede with vendors to resolve performance and to bring about improvements where needed

Improve our support and performance (20%)

  • Execute against metrics and KPI s meaningful to your key constituents and achieve results that meet or exceed expectations
  • Use a newly implemented Strategic Sourcing and P2P system to establish and help improve operational processes from project intake to invoice approvals
  • Evaluate methods that will continually improve value proposition and opportunities for procurement at reduced cost and better service levels.
  • Contribute to analyzing Technology division spend data to and identify and generate cost savings

About You

You have:

  • Superior quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
  • Strong experience with Workday Strategic Sourcing and P2P
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to foster and maintain positive and productive working relationships at all levels of the organization and with our external supplier / vendor community
  • Initiative and an ability to work in a self-directed environment
  • Competent with contract management tools and resources
  • Financial, Legal and Supply Chain experience or knowledge.
  • Good computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
  • Bachelor s degree required, in computer science or a related field (preferred)
  • A 5+ years of procurement related experience and be proficient in evaluating contractual terms and conditions
