Overview
This is a remote role that may only be hired in the following location: NC, AZ
This position is responsible for complex problem troubleshooting and resolution, and advanced production support for the Bank's systems infrastructure. Provides guidance on system technical support, maintenance, and enhancement . Monitors overall systems performance to identify potential issues and tune appropriately. Addresses failed components or technical issues and provides resolution.

Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Systems engineer and systems programmer OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Systems engineer and systems programmer
Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Area of Experience: Red Hat Linux, AIX, Windows 2019 or greater
Skill(s): Exposure to desktop, Windows and UNIX system support, , working knowledge of Directory and Authentication services, e xposure to Business Continuity Processes, w orking knowledge of scripting languages such as Korn shell, bash, PowerShell, JavaScript, Python, etc , Understanding of data flow, network interfaces, and protocols such as systems network architecture (SNA), Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), Domain Name System (DNS), and NetBIOS Extended User Interface (NetBEUI), Knowledge of relational database management system fundamentals and design principles, databases and applications tuning tools, and multi-platform programs such as DB2, SQL Server, and Oracle, Ability to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

Responsibilities
- Technical Support - T esting of software, patches, and upgrades to system products. Resolves complex problems and failures that occur in assigned products and technical facilities. Responsible for administration of applications and systems throughout technical support activities. Maintains processes related to daily backup, recovery, data security, and other disaster recovery functions.
- System Enhancement - Works to continuously monitor and improve systems, processes, and related technical infrastructure. Improves technical effectiveness by automating tasks and utilizing programming or scripting to perform support duties.
- Technical Expertise - Maintains a strong knowledge base through ongoing research and education. Communicates effective and clear technical information to associates, vendor support personnel, and internal clients.

Specialized skills:
- Knowledge of and hands-on experience administering Infolease versions 9 and 10.
- Experience with RHEL 8.10 or later, AIX 7.x, and Windows operating systems.
- Good working knowledge of Unidata 8.x and SQL Server 201 9 or later. Ability to read and understand Unibasic programs is a plus.
- Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting and native utilities for building infrastructure around the Infolease environments. Working knowledge of Java, Python, and Perl is a plus.
- Experience writing and reading SQL, and basic knowledge of SQL Server administration tasks.
- Experience with Apache/Tomcat 9.x and working knowledge of web applications using TLS/https and Okta authentication (single sign on) .
- Ability to write clear and concise documentation as a basis for training and knowledge transfer to others.
- Ability to work independently as well as strong collaborative skills.
- Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving and troubleshooting, requiring close attention to detail.
- Knowledge of application and database security principles and protocols.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and Service Now.
- Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the project life cycle.
