Business Analyst JIRA Preferred
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid 2 days onsite per week)
Contract: Long-Term
Eligibility:
Must be local to the Austin area and able to work onsite 2 days per week (hybrid schedule). Must be able to work on a W2 basis (no C2C, 1099, or third-party vendors). Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship or visa transfer.
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support enterprise-level technology initiatives focused on business process improvement, requirements gathering, and systems analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business process reengineering, requirements documentation, and stakeholder engagement, along with familiarity using JIRA for project tracking and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs to align technology solutions with organizational goals.
Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to define requirements and ensure clear communication throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Develop detailed business requirements, process flows, and system documentation.
Participate in design and code reviews, unit testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing.
Conduct data analysis and translate findings into actionable insights.
Support project management activities including task prioritization, tracking, and reporting using JIRA or similar tools.
Identify opportunities for process optimization and technology enhancements.
Minimum Requirements to Be Considered:
8+ years of experience reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business systems and user needs.
8+ years of experience in all areas of business analysis, including requirements gathering, documentation, and validation.
8+ years of experience supporting SDLC projects, including testing and quality assurance participation.
8+ years of experience managing multiple assignments and deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong understanding of business process mapping, reengineering, and technology integration.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and business audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with JIRA for task management, backlog tracking, and workflow documentation.
Experience implementing or supporting case management systems.
Prior experience serving as a liaison between business units and IT teams (architecture, project delivery, or application sustainment).
PMP certification or project management experience a plus.
