Texas GovLink has been contracted with the Texas State Government for 31 years, we are a Top Ten ranked vendor, and premier provider of technical and business staffing solutions. We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Java Developer to be a key resource on a technical services team for our client, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).
Work Hours and Location
8AM-5PM CST
Job Location: 6230 E Stassney Ln, Austin, TX 78744*
Onsite. Candidates must be local to Austin, TX.
Duration: Jan 2026- Jan 2027
Responsibilities
Researching, designing, implementing, and managing software programs. Testing and evaluating new programs. Working closely with other developers, UX designers, business, and systems analysts. Utilized technology such as AI to expedite the software development process.
8 or more years of experience, relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, independently performs a variety of complicated tasks, may lead and direct the work of others, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based enterprise applications.
- Build and optimize front-end components using Angular and AG Grid for dynamic, data-driven interfaces.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure solutions.
- Integrate AI tools and techniques into application workflows for automation, predictive analytics, and intelligent features.
- Participate in code reviews, ensure adherence to best practices, and mentor junior developers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the stack.
Qualifications
Minimum (Required):
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and ability to work in collaborative environments.
- Adaptability to emerging technologies and AI-driven development practices.
8 years of:
- Experience in Java, Spring Boot, Angular application development.
- Strong proficiency in Angular and AG Grid for building rich UI components.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
Preferred (Optional):
- Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) or AI-powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT-based coding assistants).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
