Solution Architect (Google Cloud Platform)

Job Description
BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent job experience required

7-10 years of experience architecting and developing software in the public cloud.

Experience in monitoring infrastructure and application uptime and availability to ensure functional and performance objectives.

Experience in one or more languages such as Java, Go,AngularJS, JavaScript and/or node.js

Demonstrable cross-functional knowledge with systems, storage, networking, security and databases

Partner with Engineering, and SREs to analyze any outages or resiliency issues and provide remediation steps

Experience with microservice best practices and design patterns

Experience with event driven architecture and immutable data management patterns (CQRS)

Proficiency with continuous integration and continuous delivery tooling and practices

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Cloud Certification Strongly Preferred

What could set you apart

An ability to demonstrate successful performance of our Success Profile skills, including:

Application Development/Programming - Experience working with software design, programming languages (preferably Java, Javascript, Angular) and solution architecture. Knowledge of Event Driven Architecture, Functional/Object Oriented Programming

Cloud Services (AWS/Google Cloud Platform) - Leveraging cloud native Google Cloud Platform/AWS service while architecting particular product/platform

DevSecOps - Need to have a strong understanding of both security and DevOps principles. They need to be able to design and implement solutions that meet the security and compliance requirements of the organization. Ability to work with developers and operations teams to ensure that the solutions are implemented in a way that does not impact the development or deployment process.

Technical Communication/Presentation - Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to tailor to specific audiences. Work with others to achieve results and proactively address sources of conflict and emotion with focus on the best solution for Equifax

Technology Advising/Consulting - Understand business goals and how to use technology to achieve them. Understand the IT environment and the challenges the unit is facing. Develop a technology solution that will help achieve the BU goals. Provide ongoing support to ensure that it continues to meet the goals. Monitor the solution for any potential problems and take corrective action as needed.
