Senior Pentaho Developer:
Strong knowledge of
- databases(Oracle, Vertica) with good SQL and PL/SQL Querying skills
- ETL (data warehouse techniques)
- data integration (Pentaho Data Integration (PDI) client or kettle or spoon)
- source control tools such as GitLab
- basic java script and java classes
- basic Linux and windows commands
Specific Pentaho ETL skills:
- aware of pdi enterprise edition features, connecting to various input db sources, api or rest calls, salesforce input, json input, aws input
- experience in writing to various o/p db targets, files, salesforce output (insert,update,delete)
- joins, group by, lookup techniques, delta data - scd implementations (with normalizer and denormalizer techniques)
- metadata injection technique in pdi
- error handling techniques in pdi
- data cleansing techniques in pdi
- logging techniques in pdi
- bulk data management , job check points and restartability in pdi
- master-slave architecture and repository management
