Description

SAIC is seeking a top-notch Senior Facilities Project Manager to join our talented team in Chantilly, VA. In addition to project management responsibilities, this position will serve as the Team Lead for our team that supports the Client's HQ campus. This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance with Counter Intelligence (CI) Polygraph.

SAIC provides full-service facility management oversight to a major organization in the Intelligence Community (IC). We conduct end-to-end project management, facility engineering, and technical support for project execution, facility operations and maintenance, strategic planning, and budget planning.

Project Manager

This position is responsible for providing the project and programmatic management expertise for the coordination, planning, management, prioritization, and execution of projects for the Client, ranging in value from $100K to $40M. In this role you will serve as an interface between the Client; stakeholders; Site Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team; customers; and the construction/design contractor on all project matters.

Responsibilities include:
  • Act as the liaison, reporting to and coordinating with U.S. government representatives at multiple level
  • Work with the executing agent to ensure that customer requirements are accomplished on time, to the specified quality, and within budget
  • Coordinate resource allocation and maintain document control
  • Develop and deliver project/contract documentation, including but not limited to Statements of Work, cost and schedule estimates, and daily reports
  • Input and maintain project management data in the client's system of record

Team Lead

This position will also be responsible for providing management and leadership for a team of 6-10 fellow contractors all working to support and oversee facility operations, recapitalization, and improvement projects. In this role you will be responsible for work allocation and prioritization, proper communication with the client, and identifying opportunities to introduce efficiencies.

Responsibilities include:
  • Monitoring work load and progress to ensure proper distribution of work
  • Communicating clearly with team, management, and the client to ensure proper alignment of expectations
  • Providing guidance and support to team members to ensure overall success
  • Ensuring project and task completion in accordance with the established budget and schedule
  • Building a multi-functional team that can address the myriad of issues that could arise
  • Track team performance and provide feedback and recognition as appropriate
  • Delegating and utilizing the expertise of the team
  • Analyze and take the initiative to improve on organizational processes

Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or architectural field with 10+ years of relevant experience in IC, DoD or Commercial Sector
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to lead teams
  • 5+ years of experience managing people
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing contracts
  • Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
  • Demonstrated facilities project management skills in associated with managing performance, budget, schedules, and adhering to control gates
  • Familiarity with architectural, electrical, and/or mechanical systems
  • The ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment

Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the Client's operations.
  • Master's Degree in an Architectural or Engineering Field
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification
  • Experience with Microsoft Project or a similar scheduling tool and experience analyzing schedules
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local building and safety codes
