Description
Job Summary: Assist the Engineering Team responsible for executing research and development projects on AAON products. Support the efforts to implement new products or product changes with AAON.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participates in testing HVAC units to ensure they align with engineering specifications.
- Troubleshoots and rectifies defects in test units during the testing process.
- Aids in constructing test setups for HVAC units.
- Reads and reviews electrical diagrams, piping schematics, mechanical drawings, and other engineering documents.
- Develop and Test Unit Control Algorithms, logic, and or sequences.
- Develop HVAC heat exchanger models specific to defrost controls
- Evaluates, tests, and modifies unit components.
- Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Communicates processes and findings to R&D management.
- Analyzes test data to determine products meet DOE, ASHRAE, and AHRI requirements.
- May work off-site at OSU conducting tests for AAON projects.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
Current student enrolled in an Engineering Masters program
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Communicates effectively in written and spoken form.
- Possesses excellent interpersonal relationship skills.
- Exhibits good decision making and analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrates strong multi-tasking capabilities and organizational skills.
- Works effectively in a team environment.
Work Environment:
- Periodic visits to the manufacturing facility with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure.
