Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time. Life Cycle Engineering consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Our Life Cycle Engineering disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines: Reliability, System Safety, and Supportability.

What You Will Do:

As a Sr. Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) Engineer you will be responsible for executing the FRACAS program activities such as:
  • Reviewing nonconformances and failure data, assessing factors such as system impact and trend risk
  • Performing failure investigations and working to determine root cause and corrective action (RCCA) using tools such as 5-Whys and Fault Trees
  • Presenting to internal and external stakeholders at program meetings and Failure Review Boards (FRB)
  • Supporting the proposal process in developing Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for RAM/FRACAS work
  • Tracking Earned Value (EV) and providing accurate status on the schedule and budget for the FRACAS scope

This job is based at Raytheon's Woburn facility and is posted as ONSITE.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically Requires: Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 5 years of relevant experience. An advanced degree may account for additional years of experience as required for this position.
  • Experience in Reliability, RCCA/Failure Analysis, and/or Quality Engineering.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Experience with FRACAS Engineering Concepts including knowledge of tools such as Fault Trees and 5-Whys.
  • Experience presenting to Failure Review Boards
  • Electrical Engineering experience, Electrical Engineering degree/education preferred
  • Task leadership or project management experience, familiar with concepts such as Earned Value
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to present technical material to varied audiences
  • Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines
  • Active Secret Clearance

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
