Job Details

We are seeking a skilled AutoStore Technical Consultant for a contract position to support the implementation, integration, and optimization of the AutoStore automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS). The ideal candidate will have strong experience with AutoStore systems, warehouse automation, and related technologies. You ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth rollout, configuration, and performance tuning of AutoStore environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the planning, deployment, and integration of AutoStore systems into warehouse environments

  • Configure and maintain AutoStore hardware and software components (including ports, grid, controllers, and robots)

  • Collaborate with engineering, IT, and operations teams to ensure system stability and scalability

  • Perform system diagnostics, troubleshoot technical issues, and optimize performance

  • Provide technical input on layouts, workflows, and warehouse automation strategies

  • Work with 3rd-party vendors and system integrators to align project goals and timelines

  • Document configurations, test results, and troubleshooting steps

  • Train staff and support teams on system usage and best practices

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience working with AutoStore systems or other ASRS technologies

  • Strong technical understanding of warehouse automation, robotics, and conveyor systems

  • Hands-on experience with AutoStore software platforms (e.g., Controller software, Router, and user interfaces)

  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP integration

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to travel to site(s) as needed during critical phases (if not fully remote)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in eCommerce, 3PL, or retail distribution environments

  • Understanding of PLC systems and industrial networking

  • AutoStore certification or training (preferred but not required)
