Job Details

Genesis10 is seeking a Program Manager III for a 4-month contract position with a leading financial services client. This role is 100% remote.

Summary:

The Program Manager III will lead and coordinate merger and acquisition (M&A) activities from a Cyber Strategy and Governance perspective. This role will play a key part in assessing cybersecurity risks, refining playbooks, and supporting integration readiness. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience across cyber governance, M&A processes, and risk management, particularly within the banking or financial services sector.

Pay Rate: $68 - $78/hr.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate M&A activities from a Cyber Strategy and Governance standpoint.
  • Develop and refine cybersecurity playbooks to support integration and risk mitigation.
  • Support early-stage assessments by helping teams identify areas of risk and define required action items related to pending mergers.
  • Evaluate potential acquisition targets, including:
  • Reviewing history of security incidents or breaches.
  • Identifying open regulatory findings or compliance gaps.
  • Assessing firewall management practices and security controls.
  • Reviewing vulnerability management and patching processes.
  • Collaborate with high-level stakeholders to communicate findings, recommend actions, and align cyber initiatives with overall business strategy.
  • Make informed recommendations on ideal-state security and governance models based on prior experience.

Qualifications:
  • Strong background in Cyber Strategy and Governance.
  • Understanding of how cybersecurity decisions impact risk posture and regulatory compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge of the M&A process, preferably within Banking or Financial Services organizations.
  • Familiarity with all M&A phases and how cybersecurity aligns with each stage.
  • Broad understanding of key technical security domains, including SIEM, IAM, firewalls, and vulnerability management (no hands-on configuration required).
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and critical thinking skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders and present complex information in a clear, business-relevant manner.
  • Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
